The Parachute Center of Acampo / Lodi (often known as Skydive Lodi) does not tolerate "any turn below 500 feet in excess of 90 degrees that takes less than 5 seconds."
This begs the question, "How fast can a canopy go with just a 90 degree turn?" How much performance can a good canopy pilot squeeze out of a 90 degree swoop? 25% of canopy terminal? 50%? 90% 100%?
The organizer of the meet just HAD to find out, thus the world's first 90 degree swoop money meet, held on 11/14 - 11/15, 2009 at Lodi.
Now we're back, bigger and faster! Please join us again, for the second time! It's guaranteed to be more fun!
