Rules

1. No more than 90 degree turns below 500 feet.
2. Must be C or D licensed.
3. Minimum of 50 jumps this year.
4. Maximum of five attempts. The best scoring jump shall be scored.
5. No downwind swoops.
6. Immediate disqualification for unsafe maneuvers and for turns more than 90
degrees.
7. To win $300 "swooping-the-whole-pond" prize, a rooster tail had to be at least
290' long.
8. No 39 square feet canopy.


Judging

- The competition consisted of two events; speed and rooster tailing.
- For the speed event, a police radar gun will be used to measure the horizontal
speed at the 10' entrance gate.
- For the rooster tail event, the continuous length of the rooster tail created by the
pilot's body part/s shall be measured.
- Scoring formula:  (Longest length of the rooster tail + highest speed in MPH)

- Depending on how many pros participate, handicap point system might be
applied.

- Peer review shall be used to judge the freestyle swoop with the best style.
